This project consists of the construction of approximately 4,600 linear feet of a new 18-inch diameter PVC water line with pipeline bores, connections to existing lines, trench safety, and SWPPP. Bidders must submit, with their bids, a Cashier's Check or Certified Check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the maximum amount bid, payable without recourse to the City of Forney, Texas, or a Proposal Bond in the same amount from a reliable Surety Company as guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute bond and guarantee forms provided within ten (10) days after receipt of notice of award. LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT The work to be performed under the provisions of these Contract Documents consists of furnishing all materials, equipment and tools; performing all necessary labor and supervision; and all work appurtenant to the construction of approximately 4,600 linear feet of new 18-inch diameter PVC water line with pipeline bores, connections to existing lines, trench safety, and SWPPP. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, and all proposals submitted are subject to this reservation. Proposals may be rejected for any of the following specific reasons: A. Proposals received after the time limit for receiving proposals as stated in the advertisement or any subsequently issued addendum. B. Proposals unaccompanied by the required bid security. C. Proposal constituting a nonresponsive bid. D. Proposal containing unsolicited conditions or qualifications. E. Proposal is considered irregular by the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to waive any or all of the above reasons and make the award in the best interest of the Owner.
