The City of Lamar ("City") is requesting qualifications from consulting companies to generate a Parks & Recreation master plan. Background information and a general scope of services to be performed are included. This project for the Parks & Recreation Master Plan is funded in the 2023 budget. This plan will provide guidance for the future development and planning of park system areas and the provision of recreational services and programming for the community. Parks system areas currently include Lamar City Park, Wheeler Park, Lamar City Lake, Thiebaud Auditorium, Moore Pavilion and Lamar Aquatic Park. An important aspect includes the future of Lamar Aquatic Park or a suitable alternative. The requested statement of qualifications shall include details of other specific and relevant projects performed by the planning team. Planning firms may also submit, as an example, a copy of a master plan that was completed by the firm for a park and recreation agency. The planning firm should submit a timeline for performing the master plan components along with personnel that will be assigned to the project team.
