Proposers shall submit: 1. Current (MBE/WBE) program in place, 2. Historical data on (MBE/WBE) inclusion for past projects completed, 3. Plan to meet/achieve this 25% University participation goal. Additionally identify all (MBE/WBE) firms participating in the project with the proposing GC. Provide certified documentation within submitted proposal of their MBE/WBE status and an outline of their level of participation expressed as an estimated percentage of the total scope of GC work. An MBE is defined as a business which is certified as being at least 51% owned and operated by persons of African American, Hispanic, Asian, Pacific Islander, American Indian of Alaskan native heritage. A WBE is defined as being at least 51% owned and operated by females. Proposals shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the base bid executed by a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of Kentucky and countersigned by a licensed Kentucky Resident Agent representing the Surety Company. (Certified Check Acceptable) The Contractor shall furnish a performance and payment bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as security for the faithful performance of this contract and for the payment of all persons performing labor, including payment of all unemployed contributions which become due and payable under the Kentucky Unemployment Insurance Law furnishings materials in connection with this contract. The University reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals (or parts of proposals), to waive any informalities or technicalities, to clarify any ambiguities in proposals and (unless otherwise specified) to accept any item in the proposal. In case of error in extension or prices or other errors in calculation, the unit price shall govern. Further, the University reserves the right to make a single award, split awards, multiple awards, or no award, whichever is in the best interest of the University. All offerors whose proposals are judged acceptable for award may be required to make a presentation to the evaluation committee. The target date to notify short-listed candidates is December 4th, 2023. Presentations will take place December 8th in the afternoon.
