The City of Chilliwack is requesting Quotations for the Processing of waste gypsum from the Bailey Landfill on an as and when needed basis. The City's preference is for the gypsum to be recycled, but Contractors may submit quotations for landfilling. The City will accept Quotations from qualified Contractors only for this Work. The term of the Contract shall be for two (2) years (February 1, 2024 - January 31, 2026), with the option to extend the Contract for up to three (3) additional one (1) year terms upon mutual agreement of the City and the Contractor. DESCRIPTION OF WORK 8.1. The City is requesting Quotations for the supply of all labour, supervision, equipment, and materials necessary for the pick-up and transportation of waste gypsum from the Bailey Landfill (5940 Matheson Road, Chilliwack) to New West Gypsum (38 Vulcan Street, New Westminster) with the specifications contained herein. The City will be accepting Quotations for the dump and return of one (1), open top forty (40) cubic yard roll-off container (single load), in addition to provisional pricing for the dump and return of two (2), open top forty (40) cubic yard roll-off containers (tandem load). The roll-off containers are to be supplied by the successful Contractor. Providing a Quotation for a tandem load is not required; however, it may increase the likelihood of being awarded the Contract. If the successful Contractor provides provisional pricing for a tandem load, it will be the City or Landfill Contractor’s discretion at the time of the pick-up arrangement if the transportation is to be conveyed as a single or tandem load. If the successful Contractor determines that a dump and return would not be feasible within the same day, the City will accept the delivery of one (1), empty open top forty (40) cubic yard roll-off container (two (2) empty roll-off containers if a tandem load) prior to the removal of one (1), full open top forty (40) cubic yard roll-off container (two (2) full roll-off containers if a tandem load) from the Bailey Landfill. Each day that the Bailey Landfill closes, there must a minimum of three (3), open top forty (40) cubic yard roll-off containers present. The containers provided shall be in good repair.
