This project requires 20% DBE participation, or if the contract goal is not met, documented
evidence of good faith efforts. The Complexity Factor for this project is 0.07. The Consultant who is selected for this project and all Subconsultants the Prime Consultant will
be using are scheduled to attend an initial meeting on January 24, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the
Region One/District One Office in Schaumburg. Phase II engineering services are required for the preparation of contract plans, structure plans,
specifications, cost estimates, supplemental surveying, geotechnical services, lighting design,
and all other work necessary to complete the improvements to Northbound Interstate 55 (I-55)
from East of Illinois Route 50 (Cicero Avenue) to the Chinatown Feeder. The project scope
involves bridge repairs and improvements, bridge deck overlays, bridge joint repair and
replacement, patching and resurfacing, crack and joint sealing, barrier wall repair and
replacement, drainage, landscaping, signboard and sign structure repair and replacement,
lighting modernization, and ITS and surveillance equipment improvements. The completion date for this contract will be 24 months after authorization to proceed. Questions concerning this Bulletin should be directed to:
