The City of Sarasota is soliciting bids to furnish all necessary permitting, labor, construction services, materials, equipment, tools, consumables, transportation, skills, testing, coordination with artwork manufacturers, and incidentals required in conformance with the contract documents to install Community Aesthetic Features in the center of the roundabout on US-41 at 14th Street. Southwest Florida Water Management District - ERP Exemption i. Will be obtained separately by EOR & City if required. b. Florida Department of Transportation - General Use Permit i. Vendor is responsible for permit and costs. c. The following City of Sarasota permits are anticipated to be required and permitting fees are anticipated to be waived: i. Right-of-Way Use Permit ii. Erosion & Siltation Permit iii. Staging Permit d. The following City of Sarasota permits are anticipated to be required and permitting fees are not anticipated to be waived: i. Building Permit (based on the construction cost percentage) ii. After Hours Work Permit ($25 per day) 4. Minimum Qualifications The City has established minimum qualifications for Contractor expertise and experience regarding the subject project as follows: a. The Contractor must provide a minimum of three (3) project references and may provide a maximum of five (5) project references for each of the five (5) criteria listed below. b. Each project reference must have been successfully completed in the ten (10) years preceding the bid opening. c. All criteria do not need to be satisfied by each submitted project reference, however all criteria must have been satisfied two (2) times by the submitted project references. d. Any project for which references are provided may have been self-performed with Contractor's employees or performed by a subcontractor who is part of the Contractor's team for this project. e. The Contractor qualification requirements include the following: i. Construction of site work such including clearing, grubbing and fine grading. ii. Construction of retaining wall system including concrete/masonry, stone/brick/block veneer, and cap. iii. Construction of structural concrete foundation. iv. Construction of landscape and irrigation. v. Construction of electrical systems including conduit, lighting conductors, and LED uplighting.
