The City of Compton Public Works Street Maintenance Department, hereinafter referred to as "City", invites interested and experienced graffiti abatement contractors, hereinafter referred to as "Contractor", to submit written proposals in response to the Request for Proposal (RFP) to provide citywide graffiti abatement and prevention services on an "as needed" basis. The removal of graffiti is fundamental to the City's Clean Compton Initiative, a comprehensive multi-faceted systematic approach to the eradication and prevention of blight in the City for the improvement of the quality of life for all who live, work, and visit the City of Compton. No award shall be binding upon the City unless and until consummated by a written, fully executed contract. The contract duration is expected to be one (1) year, with two (2) one-year options to extend the contract. The extension of the contract shall be at the sole discretion of the City. The City will retain the right to terminate the contract at any time. The City reserves the right to: (1) waive minor irregularities or variances, non-material bid formalities or defects in any proposal; (2) reject any and all proposals, in whole or in part, submitted in response to this RFP; (3) request clarification from all proposing firms; (4) request resubmission from all proposing firms; (5) make partial, progressive or multiple awards; and (6) withdraw or cancel this RFP without prior notice, at any time, at its sole discretion.
