Replace Life Safety & Biomedical Systems | Project 503-22-101 Estimated design duration is 365 days from notice to proceed. Magnitude of construction: Between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000 Solicitation is 100% Full & Open Competition - unrestricted. The A/E will furnish design services, technical specifications, working drawings, cost estimates, as-built drawings, construction period services, and site visits for Project No. 503-22-101, "Replace Life Safety and Biomedical Systems". This project will include the following: - Replace all medical air, medical vacuum and waste anesthetic gas disposal central supply systems, electric, control, warning/alarm systems, as well as associated piping, valves, gauges, regulators, relief valves, and labeling. All piping, to include new and existing oxygen, medical air and vacuum, shall be designed to limit pressure drop to 10% or less from source to outlet. Design for the installation of emergency supply connections for oxygen, medical air, and vacuum systems (10% or less pressure drop shall apply). Project replaces campus fire alarm system and upgrades the aging fire alarm panels and infrastructure, to include but is not limited to, main fire alarm panel, NAC panels, dialer, fiber optics, etc. This project will interconnect the facility's four electrical emergency generators to be able to share all the available capacity and have built in redundancy. Design work includes but is not limited to: Perform a complete site survey to evaluate existing conditions, research and presentation on appropriate systems for use at our station, means and methods of installing new system, coordinating any phasing of project, assembly and review of construction documents, specifications, As-builts and closeout procedures. Must have experience providing drawings in Autodesk's AutoCAD Architecture.
