Routine OSIM inspections of 382 bridges, 305 structural culverts, 22 retaining walls and 64 enhanced OSIM in Eastern Region. TIMELINE: Request For Expressions of Interest/ Request For Proposals has been issued by the owner. This assignment involves 382 bridges, 305 culverts, and 22 retaining walls inspections. The inspections will be carried out along various highways throughout Eastern Region over the course of four (4) years, commencing in 2024 and completing in 2027. The scope of work includes all work necessary to deliver this Assignment as described in the RFP Documents. The work shall include carrying out detailed visual inspections, in the field, for the structures listed in Appendix "A", recording the condition state of each element in accordance with the procedures and format of the MTO BMS and Ontario Structure Inspection Manual (OSIM) and an inventory confirmation for each highway corridor within the assignment. Traffic protection during the fieldwork portion of the assignment shall be provided in accordance with the Ontario Traffic Manual. The scope of work includes all work necessary to deliver this Assignment as described in the RFP Documents. The Service Provider shall plan, inspect, document, and report all work in conformance with Ministry of Transportation standards, criteria and requirements any Regional directives or specifications, and the Technical Standards and Specifications (Appendix 2). As well, when providing services under this Agreement, the Service Provider shall comply with all applicable legislation, regulatory standards, industry best management practices, and other guidelines and procedures relevant to conduct the work. The Service Provider shall also consult any existing applicable MTO guidance documents as appropriate. The project scope includes engineering services in the following functional categories: 1. Bridge Engineering - Biennial Inspections This assignment includes work that is in a French Language Services designated area. The Service Provider must comply with all provisions of the French Language Services Act, including but not limited to Third Party Regulation 284/11.
