Renovation of a multi-residential development in North Plainfield, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
**As of January 11, 2024, This project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The Housing Authority of Plainfield is requesting bids from qualified general contractors in lump sum bids for the seventy (70) kitchens renovations at Richmond towers. Kitchen renovations work is to be performed in the three types of apartments: 0-bedroom, one bedroom, and the handicapped accessible apartments. FLOORS 8 & 7 @ TOWER #1 (510 E. Front St.) FLOORS 12 THROUGH 8 @ TOWER #2 (520 E. Front St.) All contractors are required to submit bid bonds at 5% of the lump-sum prices. The Bid package can be obtained from the Administration office of the Housing Authority of Plainfield. The successful bidder must provide a performance and payment bond of 100% of the bid price prior to the award of the bid by the Authority. One original and two copies of the bids accompanying the bid bonds are required for the submission of bids on or before the bid due date. No bid shall be withdrawn for a Calander of sixty (60) days without the consent of the Authority. All bids are required to comply with the requirement of PL. 1975C.127 affirmative action and equal employment laws in accordance with the applicable state and federal regulations. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informalities or minor irregularities in the process.
