As of April 17, 2024, the project was awarded to JRC Services, LLC, but the awarded amount is not avaialble. The project is generally described as primarily mechanical equipment upgrades including significant electrical lighting upgrades and minor architectural finish upgrades. For mechanical, existing duct work throughout the facility will be cleaned and insulated, previously abandoned equipment will be removed, new mechanical equipment will be installed, and the existing kitchen hood systems will be reconfigured with new hoods and make-up air units. For electrical lighting, new lights will be installed throughout the interior ceilings, and electric panels will be upgraded. Mechanical and electrical work will include new controls. For architectural purposes, existing suspended ceiling tile and grid systems will be replaced throughout. Structural is limited to support of the mechanical work at the roof. Minor modifications to the roof will be made in support of the mechanical work. Asbestos will need to be abated. A Bid Bond is required. Procedures for submitting a bid, claiming an error, withdrawal of bids and other pertinent information are contained in the Instructions to Bidders, which is part of the Invitation for Bids. Withdrawal due to error in bid shall be permitted in accord with Section 9 of the Instructions to Bidders and 2.2-4330, Code of Virginia. Pre Bid Questions are due by November 27, 2023, by 5:00 P.M.
