Question Deadline 12/01/2023 at 12:00 PM ET A Certified Check or Bid Bond drawn to the order of the Uwchlan Township in the amount equal to Ten percent (10%) of the amount of the Bid must be submitted with the proposal as Bid Security. The Contract involves, but is not limited to: Relocation of sanitary sewer, Removal of the existing culvert pipes and wall structure, installation of a previously ordered precast concrete Conspan O-Series Arch Bridge Structure with Express Footings, Installation of previously ordered concrete revetment mattress, installation, maintenance and removal of temporary erosion/sediment controls, removal of existing pavement section, building up the roadway, removal of existing storm sewer system pipes and inlets and installation of new pipes and inlets, installation of two (2) conduits for future electric and cable service under roadway, rock slope with geotextile, guiderail installation including 5’ x 5’ concrete slab for posts over structure, installation, maintenance and removal of roadway detour, placement of 1.5 Depth Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design, Wearing Course, PG 64S-22, 0.3 to <3 Million ESALs, 9.5 mm Mix, SRL-G, 2.5 Depth Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design, Binder Course, PG 64S-22, 0.3 to <3 Million ESALs, 19 mm Mix, 4� Depth Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design, Base Course, PG 64S-22, 0.3 to <3 Million ESALs, 25.0 mm Mix and Depth 2A Stone Subbase, placement of pavement markings, Seeding and mulching of any disturbed areas, placing new and resetting existing post mounted signs. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond and a one hundred percent (100%) Labor and Materials Bond with an eighteen (18) month warranty within ten (10) days of the bid award, executed by a surety authorized to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The Contract requires all bidders to have and submit with the bid, documented experience installing sanitary sewer for townships in southeastern PA as well as experience installing Contech precast concrete culvert systems within the last 10 years. The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body under Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, promulgated by the Pennsylvania Secretary of Labor, which must be paid to workers employed on this project, are incorporated in the Contract Documents. Bidders are advised that they must comply with all State antikickback regulations pertaining to work associated with this project. Uwchlan Township hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all Bidders, to refuse any or all Bids submitted; and also reserves the right to waive any informality in Bids received, but any contract awarded will be to the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder. Except as otherwise provided by law, no Bidder may withdraw his Bid within sixty (60) consecutive calendar days after the actual date of opening thereof.
