Per the owner, as of February 5, 2025, no bids were received and the project was closed. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. ............... The City of Palo Alto owns and maintains two welded steel, potable water storage tanks called "Park Reservoir" and "Dahl Reservoir", located in the Palo Alto foothills area Page Mill Road. The Tanks are 59 years old and require seismic retrofits, roof replacement, new coating, modifications to vents, and other assorted improvements and repairs. The Water, Gas, and Wastewater Engineering Group (WGW) of the Utility Department of the City of Palo Alto prepared this Scope of Work ("SOW") for a qualified engineering consulting firm ("Consultant") to perform an all-comprehensive engineering and structural inspection and condition assessment of Dahl Tank and to prepare engineering alternatives, plans, and specifications for both Dahl and Park Reservoirs. In 2010, the City of Palo Alto entered into an agreement with URS/AECOM for engineering assessment, design, and construction management of seismic improvements for six (6) of the City's potable water storage reservoirs; the engineering work included Dahl and Park Reservoir. Geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, corrosion assessments, and full construction plans and specifications for a seismic retrofit and rehabilitation of the tanks were completed by February 2015, but the improvements were not constructed, due to unforeseen construction costs. The engineering and design work and assessments previously completed will be available to the Consultant to revise, update, and incorporate into this scope of work. WGW Staff assessed the need for a revision and an update to the previously completed construction plans for the following reasons.
