Renovation of a municipal facility in La Habra Heights, California. Working plans call for the renovation of a 7,147-square-foot municipal facility.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work comprises the furnishing of all materials, equipment, tools, labor and incidentals as required by the Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents for the above stated project. The general items of work to be performed hereunder consist of, but is not limited to, the remodel and tenant improvements to 205 S Euclid Street and 106 E First Ave as indicated on the project drawings and specifications. The work to be performed shall include, but not be limited to, the items described on all plans and in the specifications including, but not limited to, site demolition, building demolition, new site improvements as shown on the drawings, the renovation of the building exterior, new building improvements as shown on the drawings, and new electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire/security alarm, and all other systems as shown on the drawings or included in the specifications (including all appendices). All work shall include furnishing labor, services, tools, equipment, materials, appurtenances and incidentals necessary to install and complete the work contemplated per the plans and specifications. Work also includes mobilization, preparation, and implementation of best management practices. The Contractor shall patch, repair, replace, and refinish all damaged site and building improvements to remain around project Questions will be received Wednesday, November 22, at 3:00 pm Any questions regarding this solicitation shall be submitted electronically to Danny Gonzalez at dgonzalez@lahabraca.gov LIQUIDATED DAMAGE: If the total amount of working days have expired and the work is not complete, liquidated damages are four thousand dollars ($4,000) per calendar day. AWARD OF CONTRACT: The City of La Habra reserves the right, after opening the bids, to reject any or all bids, waive any informality or irregularity in such bids, or to award to the lowest responsible bidder and reject all other bids. ADDRESS AND MARKING OF PROPOSAL: The envelope enclosing the proposal shall be sealed and addressed to the City Clerk and hand delivered to the City Clerk at the Civic Center, 110 E. La Habra Blvd (Administration Department), or mailed to City Clerk, Civic Center, 110 E. La Habra Blvd, La Habra, California 90631. The envelope shall be plainly marked in the upper left-hand corner with the name and address of the bidder and shall bear the words "Proposal For" followed by the title of the specifications for the work, and the date and hour of opening bids. The certified or cashier's check, money order, or bidder's bond shall be enclosed in the same envelope with the proposal. DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS (DIR) REQUIREMENT: No Contractor or Subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) pursuant to Labor Code 1725.5 and Senate Bill 854. Payroll documents for the contractor and subcontractors should be submitted and registered on time with the DIR.
