Contractor to Build or Site OSP K-9 Kennel. Description: The Oregon State Police OSP is seeking quotes from licensed and bonded contractors to construct and (or site a pre-built) K-9 Kennel at a property in Harper, OR. See Statement of Work below for kennel specifications and additional requirements. OSP's budget for this project is $20,000. Level area, approximately 16' x 20', where dog kennel will be placed. This area has a mild slope and will need to be excavated and leveled. 2. Compact 3/4 " minus gravel base in excavated area to grade. Gravel must be a minimum of 4" thick after compacting and allow water to run away from the kennel. 3. Trench, install water and electrical, then backfill approximately 30' to kennel site. 4. Construct (or install pre-built) 8' x 14' dog kennel on excavated area and make all necessary water and electrical connections to kennel. Kennel will need to be centered within the 16' x 20' excavated area. 5. Kennel Details: (See provided photos in Exhibit B of an existing dog kennel to match. Existing kennel not at site). o 8' x 14' Gable Dog Kennel w/ Shingle Roof o 12" Gable end roof extensions o Insulated Floor Including: 1/2 " Bottom plywood sheathing, R11 Insulation between floor joists, 3/4 " Plywood floor sheathing. o LuxGuard, or equivalent, smooth rubber flooring. Approx. 112 sq. ft. o Interior wall (Create separate 8' run from kennel area) o 36" Fiberglass Pre-hung Entrance Door w/ out-swing o One 24" x 24" Vinyl slider window o Dual Flap Aluminum dog door for 100-lb. dog. To be installed in wall between run and kennel. o Chain-link kennel panels. Three sides of run area (end panel to have entrance gate to run area). One panel, wall to wall w/ gate, in kennel area to separate kennel from storage area. o Wall mounted air conditioner, sized for kennel area. o Wall mounted energy efficient heater sized for kennel area. o Electrical package to include: 2 interior outlets (one near A/C unit and the second near heater source), 2 ceramic light sockets and LED bulbs (one centered in kennel area and the second centered in the run), One exterior LED Flood light installed adjacent to 36" pre-hung door, two light switches (one to control the two ceramic light sockets and the second to control the exterior LED Flood light). o Finished Interior: Insulate walls (R15) and ceiling (R19) / walls and ceiling sheeted with 1/2 " plywood. o Board and batten siding (See Exhibit B pictures). o Paint interior and exterior of building/kennel w/ two coats of paint (standard colors to be chosen by OSP). 6. Desired Completion Date: 30 days from contract award.
