The Department of Natural Resources is seeking bids for the construction of a cofferdam at the Hovland Wildlife Management Area (WMA) to divert ditch flow through the emergency spillway and/or over the existing water control structure during construction. Project will require a backhoe and experienced operator to remove beaver debris and sediment from upstream of the water control structure. The work covered under this solicitation shall consist of the labor, equipment, materials, tools, transportation, and incidentals necessary for the construction of a cofferdam at the Hovland Wildlife Management Area (WMA) to divert ditch flow through the emergency spillway and/or over the existing water control structure during construction. Pumps must dewater the project site. Project will require a tracked excavator and experienced operator to remove beaver debris and sediment from upstream of the water control structure. This sediment material may be used to fill beaver-excavated depressions in the ditch bed and bolster the toe of ditch banks, if suitable. In the event additional fill material is needed, the ditch spoil pile (top of west bank) may be utilized. Work cannot commence before May 1, 2024 or receipt of Notice to Proceed whichever occurs later Final Completion of the work shall be on or before June 30, 2024
