The work to be performed under this contract consists of channel improvements for the Flamingo Wash and Tropicana Wash located between Maryland Parkway and Palos Verdes Street including, reinforced concrete channel and culvert extensions from the four 12-foot by 12-foot reinforced concrete box under Maryland Parkway to the three 12-foot by 10-foot under Cambridge Street, concrete channel and culvert extensions from the three 10-foot by 7-foot RCB under University Center Avenue to the five 12-foot by 8-foot RCB under Palos Verdes Street, construction of a concrete lid for the Tropicana Wash north of Flamingo Road, a paved trail along the north side of the Flamingo Wash, maintenance roads and access ramps. After Clearing and Grubbing, removal of riprap and removal of concrete and before initiation of excavation, if the Contractor feels that the quantities are not per the bid amount, the Contractor shall engage the services of a Nevada Registered Land Surveyor to cross section, at not greater than 50-foot intervals, the existing ground surface within the limits of work. The Contractor's Surveyor shall also prepare an existing ground surface using AutoCAD Civil 3D with break-lines and cross section point data. Existing ground cross sections so taken shall be sealed with the stamp of a Nevada Register Land Surveyor and submitted to the County along with the survey point data and the existing ground surface. All of above-mentioned items shall be turned into the county and be allowed fifteen (15) business days to verify the Contractors requested revision to channel excavation and selected borrow quantity amounts.
