Nassau County, New York (the “County”) is currently seeking proposals from qualified individuals and entities authorized to do business in the State of New York, to provide Professional Construction Management and Inspection services to the Department of Public Works. The purpose of the RFP is to provide Nassau County with proposals and recommendations for use on the construction contract for Rehabilitation of Charles Lindbergh Bridge over Meadowbrook State Parkway, which is federally funded. These services may include: providing one Resident Engineer, one Office Engineer, and two General/ Structural Inspectors for managing all construction related activities, contractor claims, and construction related engineering services. This project has an estimated construction cost of $15,000,000 with a proposed contract duration of two years. Proposals should only be submitted after careful examination of the complete RFP and its requirements. The selected firm will be required to provide proof of general and professional liability insurance in the minimum amounts of $2,000,000 in the aggregate and $1,000,000 per occurrence, respectively. The successful Proposer will be required to comply with a 20% DBE goal for this project as per Federal requirements expressed in Title 49 CFR Part 26. All vendors shall submit DBE Utilization Plan with their Proposal.
