Installation of approximately 800 LF of 4-inch and 6-inch diameter C900 PVC waterline and related appurtenances. The project is located along Mill and Harden Streets in the Borough of Hyndman, Bedford County, Pennsylvania. This project is financed through the 2022 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. All CDBG, State and Borough requirements must be met. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Bedford County Board of Commissioners, or negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and a surety named in the current list of acceptable sureties published in U.S. Treasury Department Circular 5 70 (amended), in the amount equal to ten percent ( 10%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. The Successful Bidder will be required to execute the Agreement and to furnish Performance and Payment bonds, each of said bonds to be in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price, all in the respective forms provided in the Bidding Documents. The Contractor also will be required to furnish evidence of insurance coverage as required by the Bidding Documents. The Bedford County Board of Commissioners, on behalf of Hyndman Borough, reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality and to award the contract as may be deemed by the County to be in their best interest. UTILIZATION REPORT MBE Goal: 5.0% WBE Goal: 3.0% Question Deadline 05/03/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be directed to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda, mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
