Scorpio has been awarded the Lake Panasoffkee Elementary New Classroom Building for Sumter County Schools and is accepting final GMP proposals. The project is located in Lake Panasoffkee, FL. The project is broken into 3 phases, and pricing must be submitted separately for each. Phase 1 consists of the demolition and/or relocation of the existing playground equipment, relocation of portables, demolition of portable utilities, relocating of a shed, regrading & sodding at areas where portables were removed, and alterations to the walkway canopy between buildings #10 and 12. Phase 2 consists of site demolition, earthwork, site utilities, installation of a new fire main, and landscaping. Phase 3 consists of the construction of a new 10,416 SF classroom building and includes the following trades: cast-in-place concrete, masonry, structural steel, cold-formed metal trusses, casework, waterproofing, roofing, insulation, doors, frames, & hardware, storefront & glazing, metal framing & drywall, stucco, acoustical ceilings, painting & coatings, flooring, toilet accessories, signage, walkway canopies, fire protection, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and communications. The approval of phases 2 and 3 has been pushed to the January 2024 board meeting. They will not have specific bid feedback until the phases have been approved.
