Town of Avon FY24 Street Paving and Site Work. Project consists of: Reclamation, Cold Milling, and Full Depth Reconstruction of roadway, Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) Pavement; Stone Dust, Cement Concrete, and Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) Sidewalk and/or Shared Bike Path; Granite Curb, Granite Edging, and HMA Monolithic Cape Cod Berm; Drainage Improvements and associated Pavement Marking, Signage and Utilities on various streets and John J. Demarco Park Trail Site Work within the Town of Avon as directed by the Town. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.3039 & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L.c.l49 26 to 27H inclusive. A MassDOT prequalification must be in place prior to bid acceptance. All work must be completed according to the most current MassDOT specifications. Selection of the contractor will be based upon bidder qualifications, including evidence of past performance in similar projects, and bid price. The contract will be awarded to the bidder deemed by the awarding authority to be the lowest responsible and eligible bidder. The bidder agrees that its bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays excluded, after the opening of the bids. The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in whole or in part, any or all bids, or take whatever other action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town. Each bidder must be prequalified in accordance with 720 CMR 5.00, "Prequalification of Contractors" by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, Highway Division (MassDOT Highway Division) with the class of work as "Pavement - Surfacing" prior to the award of the project with an estimated value of $2,613,400.
