The State Highway Administration is soliciting bids for a Contractor to provide fence maintenance and repair services at the Fairland Shop Maintenance Shop. This Contract will not automatically renew. Question Deadline 11/14/2023 at 2:00 PM ET OPENING OF BIDS Bids will be opened publicly in accordance with the provisions in COMAR 21.05.02.11 on the date and time specified in Section V of this Invitation for Bids. DURATION / TERM OF THE CONTRACT / PROJECT The duration/term of the Contract is twenty-four (24) months or until contract funds have been depleted, whichever comes first. BASIS FOR AWARD The unit prices quoted is required for establishing a unit cost for each service and providing a grand total for the purpose of evaluating bids. The award will be based upon the lowest Grand Total Bid and be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for the services required in the amount not to exceed $50,000.00. LIABILITY The Contractor must be covered by a sufficient amount of liability insurance. The Contractor shall provide this Administration with proof of liability insurance and coverage before the contract is awarded. SCOPE OF CONTRACTOR SERVICES This specification describes the requirements to provide qualified licensed fencing repairs, installation, maintenance and replacement services on an as-needed basis at the locations specified in the Invitation for Bid (IFB) for a period of 24 months or total payments of $50,000, whichever comes first. This proposal will establish hourly rates, and material mark-up percentages. Quantities listed are estimated and are only given for the purpose of bid evaluation. They do not indicate the actual amount which will be spent, since such expenditures will depend upon requirements which develop during the contract period. Fencing services include, but are not limited to, the repairs and maintenance of all fencing located at the Laurel Maintenance Facility designated areas located in Prince Georges County Maryland. Fencing services include, but are not limited to, emergency response, possible design, installation, maintenance, reconditioning, replacement, or repair that may be required by the State Highway Administration. The Contractor will be expected to perform the required fencing services from verbal request instructions/description). All work near or over water must fully comply with all Maryland Department of the Environment and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency rules and regulations.
