Project scope consists of removal of existing parking lot and reconstruction with concrete pavement. This project consist of two separate phases, Phase I and Phase II as per bid specifications. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment Bond, a Performance Bond, Workers Compensation and General Liability, Insurance as required by the Contract Documents. The successful bidder shall also be required to enter into a written agreement on a form provided by the District. Bids must be accompanied by a bidders bond for at least ten (10%) of the amount of the bid and payable to the District, which shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract if awarded the work. Said bond will be declared forfeited, paid to, or retained by the District as liquidated damages if the bidder refuses or neglects to enter into the contract provided by the District. A Bidder who is not a DIR Registered Contractor when submitting a proposal for the Work is deemed not qualified and the proposal of such a Bidder will be rejected for non-responsiveness. Pursuant to Labor Code 1725.5, all Subcontractors identified in a Bidders Subcontractors List shall be DIR Registered Contractors. If awarded the Contract for the Work, at all times during performance of the Work, the Bidder and all Subcontractors, of any tier, shall be DIR Registered Contractors.The Work is subject to payment of Prevailing Wage Rates (PWRs). The Contractor and all Subcontractors of every tier shall pay laborers performing any portion of the Work not less than the PWR established for the labor provided.
