As of December 20, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The scope of work period includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and other means of construction necessary for completion of the work indicated in the Bid Documents including, but not necessarily limited to, the following: temporary facilities and controls, cutting and patching, general commissioning, selective demolition, miscellaneous cast-in-place concrete, unit masonry, structural steel framing, plastic-laminate-clad architectural casework, maintenance of membrane roofing, roof accessories, joint sealants, penetration firestopping, non-structural metal framing, gypsum board, ceramic tiling, acoustical panel ceilings, resilient base and accessories, tile carpeting, interior painting, hangers and supports for HVAC piping and equipment, HVAC system cleaning, HVAC valves, vibration isolation, HVAC identification, testing, balancing, & adjusting for HVAC, HVAC insulation, commissioning of HVAC systems, instrumentation and control devices, direct-digital control system for HVAC, hydronic piping, hydronic piping specialties, chemical water treatment, HVAC ducts and casings, air duct accessories, air conditional condensing units, modular indoor air-handling units, terminal heating and cooling units, electrical power, lowvoltage electrical, wiring devices, extension/modification of existing fire alarm system, and all other labor, materials, and accessories as required for a complete and proper installation. The on-site construction is scheduled to commence during next year's 2024 summer break starting approximately on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, with a Substantial Completion date of Friday, August 2, 2024. Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). The Contractor will be required to submit electronic copies of their certified payrolls with each application for payment using the Illinois Department of Labor's Prevailing Wage Portal. The Geneva Community Unit School District 304 Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, reject nonconforming bids, reject conditional bids, waive irregularities in the bidding procedures, or to accept any bid that, in its sole opinion, best serves the interests of the School District. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish construction performance and labor and material payment bonds in the full amount of the final subcontract Contract Sum.
