GAUDINEER MIDDLE SCHOOL 75 South Springfield Avenue Springfield, NJ 07081 Contract No. 1: Single lump sum bid for the Bathrooom Renovations at the existing Jonathan Dayton High School in Springfield, NJ. Contract No. 1b: Single lump sum bid for the Bathrooom Renovations at the existing Florence M. Gaudineer Middle School in Springfield, NJ Renovate existing school's student and faculty bath rooms includes new piping and connections, new plumbing fixtures and toilet room accessories, new lighting & power, new doors, new flooring, wall and ceiling finishes, repairs to existing walls and ceilings. Reinstallation of existing devices, including speakers, fire alarms, and detectors. Removal of existing base board heating and radiators and installation of ceiling mounted mechanical equipment. Existing bathrooms at Jonathan Dayton High School: one Boy's student bathroom 240 sf, one girl's bath room 247 sf, one Men's Faculty bathroom 178 sf, and one Women's Faculty bathroom at 185 sf. Existing bathrooms at Florence M. Gaudineer Middle School (2) Men's Faculty bathrooms 250 sf each, (2 Women's Faculty bathrooms 252 sf each, and Boy's student bathroom 250 sf and Girl's student bathroom 252 sf. Bidders must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Schools Development Authority ("NJSDA") as stated in the Contract Documents Bids must be made on the proposal forms in the manner designated, enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and proposal identification on outside and must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond drawn to the order of the Springfield Board of Education for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00; and must be delivered to the Board Secretary of the School District, or a designated representative at the above place on or before the hour named. The Board of Education and Architect assume no responsibility for bids mailed or misdirected in delivery If the bid exceeds $20,000.00 bidder must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC), prior to the date that the bids are received. Any bid submitted under the terms of New Jersey statutes not including a copy of a valid and active pre qualification/ classification certificate may be rejected as being nonresponsive to bid requirements. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive informally in the bidding if it is in the interest of the Board of Education to do so Within ten (10) days the successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond or Bonds in the amount equal to the bid submitted.
