Site work for a road / highway in Boston, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The Work Includes: Procurement and Installation of New Variable Messaging Sign at the Corner of World Trade Center Avenue and Summer Street in South Boston, Massachusetts, and Installation Of Conduit for Communication and Electric Lines From the South Boston Waterfront Transportation Center to the Location of The New Variable Messaging Sign. A proposal guaranty shall be submitted with each General Bid consisting of a bid deposit for five (5) percent of the value of the bid; The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and a labor and materials payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract price. The successful Bidder will be required to purchase and maintain Bodily Injury Liability Insurance and Property Damage Liability Insurance for a combined single limit of $2,000,000. Said policy shall be on an occurrence basis and the Authority shall be included as an Additional Insured. This contract is subject to a Minority/Women Owned Business Enterprise participation provision requiring that not less than SEVEN AND POINT-FOUR PERCENT (7.4%) of the Contract be performed by minority and women owned business enterprise contractors The Authority reserves the right to reject any sub-bid of any sub-trade where permitted by Section 44E of the above-referenced General Laws. The right is also reserved to waive any informality in or to reject any or all proposals and General Bids.
