Life Flight Networks Hangar With Crew Quarters Facility Each bid shall be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, postal money order or bid bond made payable to the Port of Walla Walla in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid. Said check or bid bond shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder shall execute such contract as may be awarded to him/her in conformity with his/her bid and with the contract documents and shall provide surety bond or bonds as specified therein within ten days after notification of the award of contract. SCOPE OF WORK 1. General A. Code Compliance and Permits All work will be performed in compliance with any and all current applicable federal, state, municipal or local laws, permits, regulations, codes, and ordinances. See attached Project Manual Section 01010 for permit information. WWRA shall pay for the building, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and fire sprinkler plan permit fees. B. Description of Work a. Project Manual and Plans are attached to this RFP. b. Geotechnical Report (from an aviation apron project directly in front of proposed building site) is attached to this RFP. c. The construction site is located at 255 A Street and, when completed, will be partially located within the Air Operations Area (AOA) of the airport. The Contractor shall be required to apply for a security access badge to have unescorted access onto the AOA. A minimum of one (1) badged Contractor shall be on-site at all times during construction within the AOA. The Contractor shall work thru WWRA to apply for and go through a thorough, federal background check for authorization to work within the AOA. Based on background check results WWRA reserves the right to not issue an AOA access badge to any Contractor that does not qualify. The Contractor must, at all times, maintain the security fence for no authorized access. In addition, NOTHING shall be placed on or against the security fence within five (5) feet of either side. d. The Contractor shall be required to furnish all labor, material, equipment and supervision required to perform the work as specified per plans and specifications. Any change order shall be in writing and approved by WWRA before any changed work is completed. e. Contractor shall be responsible for the demolition of all materials as related to the scope of work in the demolition plan. All materials are to be removed off-site and at the Contractor's expense. f. Contractor shall keep work sight clean and organized at all times with attention to personnel safety. All nails, screws, bolts, etc. shall be picked up by the Contractor with a magnet. All material must be secured at the end of each workday. All FOD (foreign object debris) shall be picked up immediately. g. Work site shall be secured from weather and unauthorized entry at all times the Contractor is not working. h. Contractor shall have job site professionally cleaned upon completion of all construction
