BC Parks is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced vendors to provide project management services to oversee the implementation of prescribed wildfire risk reduction treatments in LAU,WELNEW/John Dean Park. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to establish a services contract which will ensure the Ministry's interests are upheld and to provide professional oversight of fuel management treatments in LAU,WELNEW/John Dean Park. The expected outcome of this contract is to supervise the fuel management treatment contract to ensure that the fuel management treatment is implemented as prescribed to reduce the potential wildfire intensity and crown fire initiation potential. And to improve suppression opportunities for low to moderate intensity wildfires that may start within the park. The fuel treatment is aimed at reducing the risk of wildfire negatively impacting the park's natural, cultural, and recreational values as well as adjacent critical infrastructure and neighbouring communities. The estimated contract period will be 3 month(s).
