Renovation of a fitness / recreation center in North Saanich, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fitness / recreation center.
The works to be constructed under this Contract generally include, but is not limited to, the following: The Contractor shall furnish and deliver all materials, equipment, labour, and related items necessary to complete the work to provide a functioning Heat Recovery System in compliance with this contract and the design specifications (See Engineering Drawings and Specifications). The items of work to be performed include but are not limited to: 1. Mobilization Demobilization 2. Demolition of Existing a. Make-Up-Air Unit 1 (MUA-1) at Weight Room level. b. Arena B Domestic Hot Water (DHW) Plant, including DHW storage tanks (2x DHW-B) and associated piping. c. Pool Boiler Loop, including Heat Pump 2 (HP-2, A.K.A. Florida Heat Pump), Expansion Tank #2, circulation pumps, and associated equipment. d. Arena A Refrigeration Plant Class T Mechanical Room, including Removal of underfloor Pumps (P-3 and P-4), Brine Expansion Tank, Heat Exchanger #2 (HX-2), and associated equipment and piping. 3. Supply and installation of the following main new pieces of equipment and associated safety subcomponents (i.e. RVs): a. Energy Recovery Condenser (ER Condenser) located in Arena A mechanical room. b. Site-Specific Heat Pump (SSHP). c. Tanks (See Tank Schedules on Drawings) d. MUA-1 (See Letter of Intent) e. Pool Heat Exchanger and Control Valves, f. Tennis Court Fan Coil Units (4x FCUs) g. Heat Exchangers (HX-3 through to HX-9), h. Pumps (See Drawings), i. Pressure Vessels (See Drawings), j. Exhaust Fan (Arena B Mechanical Room), k. Compressors (See Drawings). 4. Supply and installation of the following piping with associated valving for isolation, safety, and code compliance: a. Arena B Piping - 2 - 80.24.04-06 b. Arena A to Arena B piping parallel to existing 2.5 diameter lines (Reuse pair of existing 2.5" diameter for part of the system as shown in the drawings) c. Heating Loop from Arena B to MUA-1 and Pool Mech Room, d. Heating Loop from Arena B to Tennis Court FCUs, e. Connection to the existing Desiccant Dehumidifier (DH-1), f. Integration with Arena A ammonia plant (NH3 Condenser, Compressor Cooling, Underfloor Arena A, and Underfloor Arena B). 5. Supply and installation of the following Ducting: a. Arena A Ducting from DH-1. b. Arena B Ducting from DH-1. 6. Control and safety Instrumentation and devices (See Drawings) 7. Programming of the system controls connecting to the existing facility control systems and ensuring compatibility with the existing facility control systems. 8. Start-up, Commissioning, and System Balancing 9. System Demonstration and Training. 10. Provision of equipment documentation, including but not limited to: a. System and equipment record Shop Drawings for all equipment, b. System Balancing reports, c. Commissioning Logs/Data, d. Operation and Maintenance manuals, and e. System Training Materials. 11.
