The project is expected to be awarded on January 9, 2024.** This project consists of installing hydraulic barriers in various portions of the compromised levee to protect against seepage and prevent further erosion. all Requests for Information must be submitted no later than 3:00 p.m., 5 business days (12/1/23) prior to the bid opening date. The goals and timetables for minority and female participation, expressed in percentage terms for the Contractor's aggregate workforce in each trade on all construction work in the covered area, are as follows: A Goals for minority participation for each trade: 24.6% B. Goals for female participation in each trade: 6.9% These goals are applicable to all the Contractor's construction work (whether or not it is Federal or federally assisted) performed in the covered area. If the Contractor performs construction work in a geographical area located outside of the covered area, it shall apply the goals established for such geographical area where the work is actually performed. With regard to this second area, the Contractor also is subject to the goals for both its federally involved and non-federally involved construction. Each Bid shall be accompanied by Bid Security consisting of: (a) cash; (b) a certified check made payable to the District; (c) a cashier's check made payable to the District; or (d) a bidder's bond in favor of the District executed by the bidder as principal and surety as obligor, in an amount not less than 10% of the total Bid. The surety insurer shall be admitted to transact surety business in the State of California, as defined in Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120. Personal sureties and unregistered surety companies are unacceptable. The cash, check, or bidder's bond shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder: (1) will execute the Contract if it is awarded to the bidder, and (2) shall provide the required payment and performance bonds and insurance certificates and endorsements as required by the Contract Documents. Failure to provide the required documents may result in forfeiture of the Bid Security and the District may award the Contract to another bidder or may call for new Bids. The successful bidder shall deliver to the District two (2) fully executed, identical counterparts of the performance bond and payment (labor and materials) bond in the form supplied by the District and included in the Contract Documents. The penal amount of each bond shall be for one hundred percent (100%) of the total Contract Price. The surety insurer shall be admitted to transact surety business in the State of California, in accordance with Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120. Personal sureties and unregistered surety companies are unacceptable. Failure to furnish a bond within this time may, in the sole discretion of District, result in the forfeiture of the Bid Security. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive discrepancies, irregularities, informalities, or any other error in the bid or bidding, if to do so seems to best serve the public interest. The right of the District to waive errors applies even if the Contract Documents state that a discrepancy, irregularity, informality, or other error make a bid nonresponsive, so long as the error does not constitute a material error. THESE DRAWINGS PROVIDE THE ENGINEERING DETAILS TO RESTORE AREAS OF LEVEE INTEGRITY IN THE ARROYO GRANDE CREEK CHANNEL BY FLOOD CONTROL ZONE 1/1A OF THE COUNTY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO FLOOD CONTROL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT. THE MEASURES INCLUDED IN THESE DRAWINGS DESCRIBE THE LOCATIONS AND QUANTITIES OF LEVEE IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN THE ARROYO GRANDE CREEK CHANNEL
