Construct Woven Wire Deer Fencing Forest District #16, Tioga State Forest Elk Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania Construct Woven Wire Deer Fencing DGS Small Business Certification Required Question Deadline 11/20/2023 at 4:30 PM ET All questions must be received through the Bid Express Service. Questions asked via email, phone, or otherwise will not be answered. Contractor is to begin work within ten (10) days after receipt of Notice to Proceed, and to complete work within Two Hundred Seventy (270) calendar days. The tenth (10th) day after receipt of Notice to Proceed shall be the official starting date unless the ten (10) day period is extended in writing by the Secretary. It is understood that if the work is not completed within the time above specified or such extension thereof, as shall be granted in accordance with the General Conditions, the Contractor shall pay the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as liquidated damages and not as a penalty for non-completion of work, the amount of Five Hundred Dollars ($500) per day for each and every calendar day thereafter until the work shall be completed and accepted. This contract shall include all general construction work complete as depicted and defined on the contract drawings and as specified in these contract specifications. Main items of work consist essentially of, but are not limited to the following: a. Installation of woven wire deer fence. b. Install 4"x 4" pressure treated square posts or 4" diameter pressure treated round posts or steel posts to serve as in-line posts. c. Install corner posts 6" x 6" pressure treated or 5" pressure treated diameter round post and braced or supported in place. d. Fence stretching. e. Installation of galvanized staples and 2" x 4" board at trees. f. Anchor fence with ground stakes. g. Installation of walk-through and vehicle drive-through gates as shown on the contract drawings. h. Contractor must drive all deer from the fenced area prior to closing of the fence.
