The main goal of this project is the replacement of a 48-inch butterfly isolation valve located in a vault, that is part of the Mills Gravity Line. The contractor will need to work with the District to coordinate the dewatering and repressurization of the Mills Gravity Line, for an anticipated 7-day shutdown. As part of the project, additional modifications will be made to the existing installation that requires two combination air valves, three 8-inch gate valves and an 8-inch steel pipe spool. The construction window is limited by biological constraints as noted in the special conditions.
