The City of Amarillo is soliciting bid for the purchase of Tree Management & Maintenance Services per bid specifications. This work shall consist of pruning street trees and park trees for traffic and pedestrian clearance, tree health, removing trees as designated, stump removal, tree planting, staking and inventory of trees as well as leaving the work site in a neat, clean, and orderly condition upon completion of the work or at the end of the day, in the area as specified in these specifications. All tree pruning shall comply with good arboriculture practices for the particular species of trees being trimmed and shall be consistent with the Pruning Standards and Best Management Practices as adopted by the International Society of Arboriculture. The Contractor shall also meet the requirements of the current American National Standards, Z133, entitled "Safety Requirements for Arboricultural Operation," published by the American National Standard Institute., Inc., 1430 Broadway, New York, New York 10018. The estimated annual volume of work is $450,000.00. All questions must be submitted at least 10 days prior to the bid due date. All questions will be answered at least 7 days prior to the bid due date. If the questions cannot be fully answered by that time then, the opening date of the bid will be extended by amendment to allow sufficient time for all questions to be answered and those answers to be provided to all registered vendors.
