Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Montgomery, Alabama. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

The scope of work includes full architectural services for a single story building of approximately 12,000 square feet for a new facility. The project may include, but is not limited to, a prefabricated steel structure, slab on grade floor construction, with a masonry or stone veneer applied on the front elevation and metal wall panels, and with a sloped metal roof system. The number of parking spaces is estimated at 45 spaces and concrete paving is preferred. The front fifty percent of the floor area may be open plan area accessible to the public for a lobby space, private driver exam/testing rooms, public restrooms, with suspended lay in ceiling tile and LED lighting. The remaining square footage will be private employee only access areas of open plan for work stations, a conference /training room, open breakroom, and private restrooms with similar finishes as the public space. Design recommendations by the successful design professional should include adherence to the budget and schedule throughout the project duration. The project is not expected to be multiple bid packages. The estimated construction budget for this project is $4,300,000. The term of the agreement will be two years with an option to renew for two (2) additional years. The design services will be contracted under both fees and hourly rates in accordance with the Manual of Procedures of the State of Alabama Department of Finance, Real Property Management, Division of Construction Management (DCM).
