Renovation of a mixed-use development in Springfield, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Illinois Secretary of State is requesting bids for the replacement of the HVAC system that serves the east wing of the Howlett Building located at 501 S. Second St. Springfield, Il 62756, Sangamon County. Contract Award 12/6/2023 Substantial Completion - 1/31/2025 Final Completion - 3/31/2025 A. Work of the Project includes the following: 1. Provide new VAV HVAC system with new equipment. Total of 6 new AHU serving the East wing of Howlett building floors 1 through 5. Provide new heating and chilled water equipment and piping. Make all required piping, ductwork and electrical connections to the new equipment. Connect new equipment to existing electrical. Provide new controls for all equipment replaced as part of this project. 2. Selective demolition and disposal. 3. Removal of existing ceiling and lighting. Provide new ceiling and lighting installation and selective architectural scope. 4. Integrate new fire alarm devices for new equipment to fire alarm panel. Reinstall existing fire alarm devices related to ceiling work. B. The Contract Documents indicate the Work of the contract and related requirements and conditions that have an impact on the Work. Related requirements and conditions that are indicated on the Contract Documents include, but are not necessarily limited to the following: 1. Existing site conditions and restrictions on use of the Site. With the exception of work listed in this Section, the Contractor may schedule his work in any manner he deems appropriate to complete the contract within the time allowed. The Contractor is cautioned that some of the work may have to be performed during other than normal working hours and that the Owner may revise the schedule whenever the Owner finds it necessary to maintain work progression, or to protect the Owner's facility, or to maintain continuous, satisfactory operation of existing facilities. 2. Following is an anticipated project schedule. Contractor will be responsible for providing an update
