Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Eugene, Oregon. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
Subcontractor Disclosure Statements are due no later than two (2) hours after bid opening. First-Tier Subcontractor Disclosure Statements should be emailed to: eugene.facilities@eugene-or.gov. Bids will not be accepted after the bid closing time and date. Bids shall be valid for 60 days after opening unless otherwise specified in the bid specifications. This Invitation to Bid (ITB 2024-1003) does not commit the City to pay any costs incurred by any bidder in the submission of a bid. PROJECT DESCRIPTION In general, the Project includes: Petersen Barn Community Center Renovations at 870 Berntzen Rd, Eugene, OR 97402. Project includes, but is not limited to, renovation and accessibility improvements to an existing building to the warming kitchen and two multi-user restrooms, exterior window replacement on the South side of the building, overhead door installation on the North side of the structure, limited demolition of interior walls for door placement, and finish upgrades. Contractor is to coordinate with a separate flooring contractor, Rubenstien's Carpet, for flooring removal and replacement. PRE-BID CONFERENCE Attending the pre-bid conference is mandatory for Prime Bidders. PREVAILING WAGE This project is a public works project subject to ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870. BID SECURITY Bidders shall submit a Bid Security for ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount, plus any additive alternates, by one of the following methods: Attach a scanned version of a paper bid bond, Certified Check, Cashier's Check, Savings and Loan Secured Check, or irrevocable Letter of Credit issued by a financial institution; the validity of which will be verified after the bid opening. Alternatively, use an electronic bid bond service to submit a link which includes verification of the bid bond. NON-RESIDENT BIDDERS In accordance with ORS 279A.120, Bidders will be required to indicate on the Bid Form whether the Bidder is an Oregon resident. CONTRACTOR'S REGISTRATION The City will not consider Bids unless the Bidder (Contractor) is registered with the Construction Contractors Board as required by ORS 701. ASBESTOS ABATEMENT Asbestos work is not anticipated. If asbestos conditions are discovered by Contractor, Contractor shall immediately notify City. OWNER'S RIGHT TO REJECT PROPOSALS The City of Eugene may hold Bids for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from date bids are due for the purpose of reviewing bid documents and investigating qualifications of Bidders prior to awarding Contract. The City of Eugene reserves the right to reject any Bid for good cause upon finding that it is in the best interest of the City to do so.
