Portable Restroom Facilities and Services The City of Council Bluffs, Iowa (City), is requesting bids for portable restroom services from qualified and insured companies, herein called Bidder/Supplier/Contractor. All necessary personnel, supervision, materials and equipment to be provided by the Bidder and prices included in the bid should reflect the same. This is an all or nothing bid and will be awarded to one Bidder. Total prices for the permanent location units (both regular and ADA Compliant) for all three contract years will be used to determine low bid. The bid bond requirement is based on this total as well. The work under this bid will be administered and overseen by an authorized designee of the Parks & Recreation Department. The price quote on the bid will become the price extended to the City of Council Bluffs for the contract period. CONTRACT TERM - The contract term is for three (3) years commencing January 1, 2024. If it is mutually acceptable, this contract may be renewed for up to two (2), one (1) year periods. The Contract may be extended by written mutual agreement by the City and the Contractor. Rates of any renewal year will be at a 3% increase of the previous year's rates. BID BOND - In accordance with City ordinance, each bid in excess of $40,000 must be accompanied by cashier's check or bid bond payable to the City of Council Bluffs, Iowa, for a sum not less than 5% of the total amount of the bid. Copies of bid bonds or cashier's checks are to be uploaded in the assigned requested attachments area. Cashier's check shall clearly state cashier's check on it. Letters of credit and company or personal checks are not acceptable substitutes for a bid bond and would be cause for rejection of bid.
