Exterior Building Renovation at Gates Elementary The district reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any irregularities Please refer questions to Dan Petsch at 308- 385-5900 ext. 201101. 14 ZNEZ The project consists of: 1. Rout out open and failed joints in exterior brick masonry. Tuck point the prepared joints with a nonshrink tuck pointing mortar of a color and texture to match adjoining existing mortar as closely as possible. 2. Remove existing joint sealant at the expansion joints. Install new backer rod and polyurethane joint sealant. 3. Remove existing joint sealant from around existing window and door frames. Install backer rod and polyurethane sealant in the prepared joint and tool to assure a complete seal. See attached plan for locations. 4. Power wash all exterior brick masonry surfaces to remove dirt. Apply one flood coat of H&C HB-150 Water Repellent to the exterior face of the brick. 5. Submit your proposal with a complete outline detailing restoration work activity for affected areas. Include product data sheets on tuck pointing, caulking, and water repellent materials
