Bids will be received for the following construction contract(s) at the scheduled time: Contract No. 1:General Construction Contract No. 2:HVAC Construction Contract No. 3:Electrical Construction Upon receipt of payment, the Bidder will be registered and an email will be sent to the Bidders contact person containing instructions for accessing an electronic copy of the Bidding Documents, including the official bid form(s). Bids shall be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a certified check, cash, bank cashiers check, treasurers check or Bid Bond in the form provided in the Bidding Documents, with corporate surety satisfactory to the Owner, in an amount not less than 10% of the Base Bid, naming as Obligee Berwick Area School District. Prospective Bidders are advised that this Project is subject to and will be governed by provisions of Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act including amendments and supplements thereto. The undersigned reserves the right to waive informalities, irregularities, defects, errors or omissions in Bids, or to reject all Bids or parts thereof. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. The Work consists of limited area renovations to convert the existing library into added cafeteria space which can also be used for school assemblies. Work consists of demolition of some intervening rooms between the present library and cafeteria. New lighting and HVAC work is included for the areas affected by the renovations. There are asbestos-containing materials in the affected area that will be remediated as part of the Project. Building-wide painting will be considered via several alternates as part of the General Construction Bid.
