Request for Qualifications for designing, implementing, hosting, and maintaining Geographic
Information System (GIS) Mapping Databases including Electric, Water and Sewer, Streets,
Parcels, Lots, Blocks, Structure Addresses, City Boundary, Flood Maps, Aerial Imagery,
Topographic Maps, Zoning.
The City of Kingfisher is seeking, "Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Geographic Information
System (GIS) Mapping Services. The city is currently seeking to improve and maintain the
system that is now in place as well as enhance and maintain the information.
Conceptual Scope of Services
The city has a GIS map in place currently which will need to be updated and corrected as
well as have additional layers and information added as needed. The information
required is as follows:
a. Electric system: poles, lines, pad mount transformers, aerial transformers, etc.
b. Water and Sewer system: Manholes, sewer lines (size, material of line), meters,
valves, hydrants (including flow data, maintenance dates) and water lines (size,
material of line), lift stations, water towers, etc.
c. Stormwater drainage
d. Flood zone mapping
e. Zoning
f. City Boundary
g. Topographical Maps
h. Cemetery mapping
i. Parcels: lots, block, additions
j. Structure addresses
k. Streets: size, curb/gutter
1. Preliminary Design:
a. Refine project scope
b. Review project size
c. Identify specific goals
d. Establish schedule for completion
e. Establish channels of communication
f. Prepare Initial Opinion of Probable Cost
2. Final Design:
a. Prepare contract documents and specifications
b. Provide design and implementation cost estimates
c. Obtain all necessary subscription and hosting costs (if applicable)
