The District School Board of Niagara (hereafter referred to as the DSBN) hereby invites submissions from Roofing Contractors to pre-qualify to provide bids on roofing replacement and various capital projects for a three (3) year period beginning January 1, 2024 and ending December 31, 2026. Only the approved pre-qualified Roofing Contractors will be eligible to submit quotation or tender packages in accordance with the various Capital projects. This pre-qualification will apply to various Roofing projects which may be bid directly to the DSBN by Roofing Contractors as well as work to be tendered as Sub-Contractors to General Contractors. Roofing Contractors will be pre-qualified under two (2) different categories based on project value: Category A - Medium projects between $20,000 to $600,000 Category B - Large projects over $600,000 The DSBN shall pre-qualify Roofing Contractors for either or all categories based on the Contractor's relevant experience and their references provided. The following are representative of the roofing services which may be required for: Replacements Additions New Schools Major Repairs The DSBN reserves the right to bypass this pre-qualified list and tender projects to different sets of contractors based on projects that have specific specialized requirements, or different contractual terms, or values. All work shall be performed according to the standards of the applicable trades and to the complete satisfaction of the DSBN. The bidder, prior to pricing contracts, is required to verify that all specified items will be available in time for installation to ensure orderly and timely progress of the work. Prior approval by the DSBN Facility Representative is required for the use of any materials other than those specified by the DSBN. The Contractor may present alternatives and options to the DSBN for approval. In some cases, the DSBN may supply the materials to be used by the Contractor and in these circumstances no markup shall apply to these materials.
