Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Kelowna, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The City aims to engage a capable General Contractor in order to cultivate an early collaborative problem solving culture in the project. The objective is to address key constructability challenges and minimize uncertainty in scope during the design phase, prior to entering the Construction phase. The project includes but is not limited to the following: Construction of a new ~1,000m3 cast in place concrete reservoir cell adjacent to the existing castin-place reservoir located at 2230 Summit Drive in Kelowna, B.C. Retrofit of the existing cast-in-place reservoir and piping to delineate two discrete reservoir cells. Modification of the reservoir supply, outlet, drain and overflow piping to hydraulically connect the new reservoir cell with plans for a future fourth cell. Earthworks removals, temporary ground improvements, slope protection, and rock removal. Maintaining access and function for City operations and safeguarding the existing reservoir during the expansion construction. Installation of submarine access doorway for the new reservoir cell. Installation of instrumentation and controls equipment for the new cell complete with integration into the existing system. Surface restoration, which includes site landscaping.
