All Contracts for the Construction of Public Works are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). Question Deadline 11/29/2023 at 12:00 PM CT IDOT Prequalified YES The City of Rockford reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals and to waive technicalities. When required on the cover sheet, a bid bond for not less than five (5) percent of the bid amount must accompany all bids as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract. . A bank cashier's check, bank draft, or certified check equal to the amount specified is acceptable in lieu of a bid bond. Bid bonds of the two lowest firms will be retained until the contract is awarded. When required by the specifications herein, the awarded vendor shall furnish a performance and payment bond equal to the amount of the contract, acceptable to the City, within fourteen (14) calendar days after notification of contract award.
