The installation of an enhanced and amended exhaust system is required, as there is an inadequate capacity of return air for the equipment utilized in the academic studios. The Plastics studio comprises of a Thermoforming stove and an autonomous sealed plastic mold making lab. In the main studio space of Plastics increased extraction is required to exhaust certain chemical products are not being able to be used due to the inefficient exhaust capacity to extract specific volatile compounds out of the air. In the Jewelry Studio there is need for an extraction hood and exhaust to cater to the metal works which form part of the curriculum. Please refer to the drawings for design intent and specifications. The project is expected to be divided into TWO PHASES of work to be priced independently. BUDGET: The project budget cannot exceed $249,000 including tax for both phases of work. PHASE 1: To be comprised of the installation of exterior ducting to roof inclusive of connection to and power provision to exhaust roof fans. Please refer to IFT drawings that illustrate the scope for Phase 1. PHASE 2: To be the interior fit-out scope of work as illustrated on drawings and specs to facilitate Plastics and Jewelry Studios. Works primarily include interior ducting and final terminations such as exhaust hoods, portable exhaust arms, etc. Owner requires that all interested parties sign a Non-Discloser Agreement (NDA) in order to access the plans and specs for this project.
