Scorpio has been awarded the South Sumter New Classroom Building for Sumter County Schools and is accepting final GMP proposals. The project is located in Webster, FL. The project is broken into 3 phases, and pricing must be submitted separately for each. As of March 21, 2024, Phase 1 is complete per the construciton manager. Phase 2 and 3 have been released under a separate listing. The previous solicitation is listed below for reference. Phase 2 consists of site demolition, earthwork, site utilities, installation of a new fire main, and landscaping. Phase 3 consists of the construction of a new 10,416 SF classroom building and includes the following trades: cast-in-place concrete, masonry, structural steel, cold-formed metal trusses, casework, waterproofing, roofing, insulation, doors, frames, & hardware, storefront & glazing, metal framing & drywall, stucco, acoustical ceilings, painting & coatings, flooring, toilet accessories, signage, walkway canopies, fire protection, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and communications. The building is to be a one story masonry and steel classroom building. Construction is anticipated to start in December 2023 and take approximately 8 months. All proposals must be submitted in sealed envelopes to our office at 3911 West Newberry Rd, Gainesville, FL 32607 by the bid date. Pricing must be held for 30 days.
