Renovation of a parking garage in Pensacola, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage.
Escambia County (County) has identified a need to remove the existing, deteriorated fascia on the north and west faces Government Center Parking Garage located at 49 Intendencia Street, Pensacola, FL. While repairing damages related to Hurricane Sally, the County discovered the stucco facade on the structure could not be repaired or rehabilitated due to corrosion of the metal studs supporting the stucco. Soon after the discovery, the stucco started falling off the building prompting the County to prepare an immediate to remove the hazard from the building. Question Deadline 12/08/2023 at 3:00 PM CT All questions or inquiries must be received no later than the last day for questions stated in the solicitation & Legal Notice. Any addenda or other modification to the bid documents will be issued by the County five (5) days prior to the date and time of bid closing, as written addenda, and will be posted to the Escambia County website at Escambia County Solicitations (https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/escambiacountyfl) This project includes demolition of the existing facade on the north and west faces, with associated flashing and sealing of newly exposed brick openings, and installation of a new aluminum barrier at the northeast 3rd level to match the other existing barriers. Additionally, options for pressure washing and painting of the north and east have been included. Should the newly exposed precast concrete joints require sealing, an Add Alternate was included for this work. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified cashier's check, or bid bond, in the amount of 5% of the total bid price, payable to Escambia County, as a guarantee that the bidder, if its bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Agreement. The bidder shall guarantee the total bid price for a period of 60 days from the date of the bid opening. The County reserves the right to waive informalities in bids to reject any or all bids with or without cause and accept the bid that in its judgment is in the best interest of the County. This project includes demolition of the existing façade on the north and west faces, with associated flashing and sealing of newly exposed brick openings, and installation of a new aluminum barrier at the northeast 3rd level to match the other existing barriers. The contractor's bid shall provide for all material, labor, permits, fees, and tools required to complete the specified tasks, including material disposal and protection of property. Tasks shall be accomplished by workers skilled in their craft who will perform their work in a professional manner and will leave the premises safe, orderly, and clean.
