The Town of Stonington is accepting sealed RFP submissions for professional engineering and design services for renovations to the Town's North Pier located at 1 High Street, Stonington, in accordance with the scope of services, and terms and specifications outlined. Firms interested in providing these Services, as set forth in the RFPs specifications, are invited. Final Date to Submit Questions: December 18, 2023 3:00 p.m. This RFP seeks an Engineering firm, with the necessary professional licenses and qualified/experienced personnel to perform each specified task, as described in the following Scope of Services. The vendor will clearly indicate offered qualifications and experience for all proposed personnel anticipated to participate in the project (names and resumes are not required for non-key personnel. Efforts to further develop a project understanding will include a site walk, review of existing Town Mapping & GIS information, previous project proposals/details, and meetings with the Town Engineer, representatives from SNEFLA (Southern New England Fisherman & Lobsterman Association) and other Town staff or commissions based on the review of the area. Selected Consultant to review available studies and reports, applicable local and state\federal regulations and meet or solicit with ACOE, CT-DEEP, Town Planning and Zoning, Inland Wetland and Watercourses and other Boards and Commissions as deemed applicable. Consultants should assume participation and facilitation of up to 7 meetings with the Town and 3 meetings with other agencies at 2 hours per meeting. The work will include review of historic data from aerial photos, Sanborn maps, and commercially available environmental database radius search information. This research will be used to assess the risks of environmental contamination.
