Site work for a water / sewer project in Janesville, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
For furnishing all the labor, materials, equipment, and doing all the work necessary for replacement and/or rehabilitation of sanitary, storm, and water structures. The work will include replacement of approximately one sanitary structure, 19 storm structures, 91 storm inlets and 11 water structures and rehabilitation of approximately 116 sanitary structures, 28 storm structures, 7 storm inlets and 17 water structures. Also included are one sanitary sewer main abandonment, one water main abandonment and installation of 8 new water valves (6"-12"). The work under this contract is associated with the City's 2024 Street Rehabilitation Contract. All structure replacement-rehabilitation must be completed in a timely manner in advance of the street rehabilitation. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check equal to 10 percent of the bid or a bid bond in equal amount, payable to the City as guaranty that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and performance bond within ten days from the date the lowest responsible bidders bid is accepted. In case the bidder fails to execute such contract and performance bond within the time set by the City, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages.
