All questions, either administrative or technical, shall be submitted via email to Tina Walters at twalters@wheaton.il.us no later than November 30, 2023, at 11:00 am (CST). This bid is for Aggregate Gravel and Stone to be delivered by semi-trailer trucks directly to job sites within the City of Wheaton. Delivery will be on an as needed basis with as much advance notice as possible. All material shall meet the most current requirements of Section 1004 of the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction as adopted by the State of Illinois Department of Transportation When specifically requested by the City, Bidder shall provide a Bid Bond / Bid Deposit of 10% of the full Contract price. NOTE: for solicitations involving IDOT specifications and special provisions, this amount supersedes any amount specified by the Illinois Department of Transportation's Bureau of Local Roads and Streets ("BLRS") Special Provisions for Bidding Requirements and Conditions for Contract Proposals as may be incorporated on IDOT Form BLR 12200 and as may otherwise be incorporated as a special provision in the contract documents. The initial term shall be January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2024. The City, at its option, may extend this Agreement (the "Option") for two (2) additional one-year terms if the vendor performs satisfactorily and provided there are no changes in the terms, conditions, specifications, and pricing structure unless mutually agreed to by the parties.
