Site work and paving for a road / highway in Wheaton, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Project overview: The project consists of construction of 0.2 miles of limestone screenings trail, select tree removals, site grading and drainage, and landscape installation and restoration seeding. Questions shall be directed to Matt Adams at madams@dupageforest.org. The bids must be accompanied by a 10% bid security. All bids must be received prior to the date and time shown above. No late bids will be accepted. This project is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq. The contractor shall also abide by the employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act (30 ILCS 570, sec 1-7). This project is being financed, in part, with federal funds from the Recreational Trails Program (RTP) administered by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. Minority business firms are encouraged to submit bids on the project and successful contract bidders are encouraged to utilize minority businesses as subcontractors for supplies, equipment, services and construction. The Forest Preserve Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.
